The Strike Derby 2026 once again proved to be one of the most exciting events of the Gatwick Tri-Stars calendar, with eight teams battling it out in a fast-paced knockout competition where every strike counted.
After the qualifying stage (the normal league season), the seeded teams progressed into the quarter-finals. 8th seed Trevor Hammond-Thayre faced defending champion and #1 seed Coxy Mark , Mark produced a superb performance to win 5-1 and book his place in the semi-finals.
In Quarter-Final B, Paul Morris edged past Vicky Knightsbridge by 5-3, while Dave Whiffin defeated by Steven Flynn 7-5 in another closely fought contest. The final quarter-final saw Marcus Righton overcome Aaron Mitchell 8-6 in arguably the match of the round.
The semi-finals produced two entertaining encounters. Mark Cox continued his impressive run, defeating Paul Morris 6-3 to reach the final. In the other semi-final, Marcus Righton delivered another strong display, defeating Steve Flynn 6-2 to set up a championship showdown.
